I add:
Studio 72 was later sold to Teletape in 1967. Refurbished and
updated, it became the home to Sesame Street from 1970 to 1983 as the
81st Street Studio (or as we called it, just "81st Street"). Many
productions besides Sesame Street were also shot in the 81st Street
studio including the TV portions of the Martin Scorcese movie "King of
Comedy" and the Tony Randall show "Love Sydney". Here are some
pictures of the studio during its life as a modern TV studio and one
shot of what became of the building:
