Hi Dennis,

No it didn't. We would set H and SC to be in time. On some units, the  
ones with no SCH lock, the SC could drift separately from the H.  
Without the Sync-Proc, the H would stay centered buy the SC, if it was  
not within the 45° window, would cause a shift on a matchback. The  
Sync-Proc always had perfect SCH so it didn't matter is the SC was out.

My first sync gen was a Lenco. No SCH lock. We took the black burst  
out of the Sync Proc to feed everything since that black had the  
proper sync to SC relationship.

Also helped with monochrome sources too.
