Quad Videotape Group
Social Engineering Section announces:

"Roll It In Raleigh," a two-part weekend of engineering and visual
entertainment

Sat., August 15:
Barbeque and Film Screening
5—9 p.m., Skip Elsheimer's AV Geeks, Raleigh, NC

Sun. Aug. 16:
10:30 a.m.—Noon: Brunch in Raleigh

3 p.m—-5 p.m, Beverages and B-roll:
Don Norwood's Digitrak, Hickory, NC north of Charlotte

Saturday, August 15:

Our weekend begins with a Barbeque at Quad Videotape Group member Skip
Elsheimer's AV Geeks, LLC.

Our meats are being sponsored by flashscan8.us, with beverages
supplied by attendees.

Our host will showcase his film transfer facility, where a newly
installed MWA Nova flashtransfer will be seen alongside a Bosch FDL-60
and various flavors of videotape equipment.

After dinner, we'll adjourn to the screening room, where Skip will put
up a number of reels carelessly selected from his archive of more than
22,000 films of all kinds.

Seating is limited, so RSVP using the link below to assure you don't
have a piece of floor, or we run out of floor for you.

We'll stay till the popcorn runs out. Skip says he runs on Pacific
time, so it may be a while.

Skip will be at the Aurora Picture Show in Houston, Texas on Sunday,
Aug. 29, presenting That’s Stealing, All My Tomorrows, Fur Coat Club"
and more!

(Is that a cue for a Houston area or Texas Quad Videotape Group
gathering?)

Sunday, August 16:

After recovering from a reely heavy night of motion images, we'll
gather for Brunch 10:30 a.m. to Noonish at a Raleigh establishment and
see what and who turns up.

Those that want to see Quads in action can make the scenic drive along
I-40 west via Greensboro and Winston-Salem to Hickory.

It's about the same duration as the Minnow's was supposed to be. Who
will be the fearless crew?

From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Social Engineering Section will regroup at
Don Norwood's Digitrak Communications in Hickory, (north of Charlotte)
for Beverages and B-roll.

We'll get to see just how clear and colorful Willard Scott's 1982
weather forecast really is when viewed directly from Quad on a well-
tweaked NTSC monitor.

RSVP's are a must at all events for head count and directions.

Click on RSVP for "Roll-it in Raleigh" and in your e-mail,
tell us:

Event (s) attending: (Skip's, Brunch, Don's)
Number Attending each event
Names
Your Name, Address/City/Zip
Phone (s) in case there's a major change due to weather, head crash,
etc.

We'll confirm your e-mail and post a message to the list when there's
no room at a specific location

Should be fun, and edutainment in several ways.

Ted
