Hi Ted,
I just took the exam today, and as I understand it, I don't get my call
for about a week or so when it shows up on the internet.
One of the reasons I wanted to get my license is sort of a tribute to my
dad, who taught me so much about broadcasting over the years.
He passed away in 2004, and I'm going to try and get his old call,
which, as of today is still listed as available. Apparently, I can
apply for it as soon as I get my first call next week.
What I really want to eventually do is find a vintage 1kw AM broadcast
transmitter, and put that on 160 meters. I love those things!
