[QuadList] Is this possibly a Japanese TOAMCO Quad next to a TR-22?

A Japanese looking Ampex machine on the right?  Toshiba built Ampex?

Note the bulges atop the racks... also seen in this Sony photos of the  
prototype Quad it built:

At the time Sony was building this machine, Ampex's eventual Quad- 
making partner, Toshiba had taken the lead in transistor  
manufacture... technology Ampex was desperately seeking, and exchanged  
patent information about Quad with Sony to get.

Hmmm.
