DigiBeta Light?  Something like the different machines for BetaSP:   
BVW, PVW, UVW?

That makes more variations to support, and might make it more costly  
overall... IF you can do that within the Digibeta spec.

Perhaps making a DBeta machine that didn't have analog playback  
capability?
