This may be the one for the Ampex data recorder, similar to the ones at
the project under way at the Aimes research Center. The have several
heads already (I was there just last week). I have alerted those there
about this head. It looks the same to me.

This is an interesting head as there is not a pre-amp shown. But there
is not the connector for the pre-amp. Does anyone know more about what
this head is for?
