Charlie Anderson was—until just this spring—working on VTR's at KNBP,  
Reno.  When group member Tim Stoffel took the Asst. CE job at KNPB in  
August 2000, Charlie was working full-time at the station and as I  
understand it, had an apartment in Reno which he kept until the job  
became part-time a year or so ago.

His residence is in the Sierra Nevada foothills of California...  
several hours drive up the west slope on Hwy. 88 IIRC, and over the  
Sierra crest and then into Reno.

Charlie is over 80 now, and one of the people still alive from the  
group that created Quad.

Ray Dolby is also around, in part due to the fact that he was a  
teenager when he first went to work at Ampex, to which he returned  
after a stint in the Armed Services.
