Doug:
There are three "main" power supplies for the VR-1200 on the bottom right
side. One is +/-12 for the signal system and the servo. One is +24 for the
control circuits. One is +135 for the MDA's. Some machines have been
equipped with an additional +/-12 supply exclusively for the servo as is
done in the VR-2000, but from the pics of your machines, they are the
standard configuration.
The power supplies for Colortec, Amtec, Velcomp and the Proc Amp are all the
same design. They are also shunt regulators and may have slightly different
component values due to the different loads of the systems. Each of these
has a detachable power cord which is plugged into the "power duct" in the
machine. Be sure to check the condition of the power cables as they were
originally rubber insulated and jacketed, and the rubber insulation may have
become brittle. If the cord is stiff or crunches when moved, it must be
replaced before you apply power.
The audio system has two power supplies (one positive and one negative)
which plug into the rear of the chassis. The monitor amp, 3M DOC and the
Honeywell guide servo amp each have internal power supplies. Obviously,
video and waveform monitoring are separate as well.
So all-in-all, about a dozen supplies, depending on the particular
configuration.
