Unfortunately I do not have access to an AVR1 at present (I emailed you directly explaining the circumstances).
When I have some spare time I will write up and explain my methods of 2" restoration.

Welcome to the QuadList.
Glad to have another ANZ area member.
Would you be able to describe your AVR-1 adjustments?
There are a number of current users on the list that use AVR-1's
daily for Quad transfer, who might want to do the same, and others
that would be interested in what you did.
