Speaking of "Hetrodyning" where did that color correction system come from?  Have seen it all over in Sony, etc. but also in the IVC 800?? series stuff.  Of course it isn't "Coherent" but was OK for non broadcast edits and systems which didn't need RS 170A.

Quad machines have always had audio-only capability, so no mods required to do that.  It's not as hard as you might think to sync the machines manually.

I thought they might have re-laid the track.  Doesn't that imply a machine mod to allow audio-only editing?  I can imagine it was rather fun trying to get the audio and video synced without any means of interlock.


It would be great to get some of the "guys that were there" on camera talking about what they did, and how they did it.
