Yes, 2" audio edits were precarious. Even D2 and Digital Beta do not have perfectly seamless audio edit capabilities. You can adjust the audio edit characteristics (via menu setting) to sonically improved the edit though.
Continuos bass notes were the worst (piano, for example).
