 Hi Randy,

All I can remember from my 36 hrs in Placid was the Snowmobile incident, and the 
fake station that was on an intercom channel, run by the top intercom guy, and 
it was called, "WJPB" (VP engineering of all ABC was, Julius P. Barnathan) and 
the sign-on/sign-off theme song was 

" Take this Job and Shove It" (written by David Alan Coe and made famous by 
Johnny Paycheck) and fit the union attitude very well.

I think ABC had an ESS at the 1980 Olympics in Lake Placid. I remember this big 
Ampex box in a little room with a couple of proto Dubners and probably some 
other CGs. Lots crammed into a small space.

I lived in Lake Placid for 3 months  overseeing all the GVG gear.
