Still got the big Allen key for releasing the TCR100 decks, if anyone needs
it
The TCR 100 was a clever machine I think that took too long to develop
So it was DTL logic in the micro age
Needed a standalone TBC so it would not get upset when it switched decks,
But RCA did not have one and they would have gone out of business rather
than fit a brand X TBC
Oh sorry they did go out of business

KTLA in Los Angeles had an ACR 225. From what I heard at the time,
they wished for the ACR 25 to come back.
NBC Burbank had six TCR 100's at one time with the Penzone (?) stereo
mod (I believe it was that one). Yes, the three minute max. record
duration was a disadvantage as compared to the ACR 25.
Well at least for tour demonstration purposes, the TCR could be opened
up from the rear to watch the threading/unthread cycle which was
always pretty scary...
