[QuadList] Assemble edits vs Insert edits (wasOMG!!!!)

When we recorded programmes in sections for a later edit
We would crash record
Would not risk insert if the track has a hole, and there was not time to
spot check the recording and we would be in trouble
Also pre roll would be a problem with a studio, who would give the record
cue and start the clock on the studio floor
So crash would be the safest mode

Hi Ted,
Yes, I would expect clips to be crash recorded. But I'm talking about a
finished program.
Anyone have a date when Quad editing was widely available? I guess 1965 was
too early.

assemble a show with hard records??? I can understand going in with a crash
if the tape was a stop-and-start camera original but for a final air master?
