CMX was a joint venture of CBS and Memorex Corp. Some engineers from Memorex and CBS design the edition system. later with a Digital Equipment PDP-11 computer. They design interface box's for the control of machines from the serial to the parallel.

On AST/HST/DT/ 3M has the patent on the "voice coil" movement and 3M sold machine in the 80's made by NEC TT-7000 and TT-8000 both machine were one inch type "C"
The NEC TT series had NEC TBC on them in slo-mo they were full bandwidth..the only other machine was the Ampex with a Zeus TBC.
