[QuadList] Please trim your posts--Thanks!

Hi, folks,

Glad to see the flurry of activity on the list today.

It's very helpful for readers and the archiving and search software if  
we keep posts trimmed.

By that, I mean so that if you're replying to a post that's had 3 or 4  
replies, that you quote only the last reply, which is the one to which  
you're replying.

Same thing for those on the digest, but also change the Subject line  
so it matches the topic.

Why?  It's not to annoy or make more work for posters.

Trimming keeps the posts much more readable, and it also makes MUCH  
less work for search engines which would otherwise index all the  
previous posts' content multiple times.

Think of it as saving only the shots actually used in the show.
