[QuadList] Ampex AVR 3 models

Hello all, 
Still trying to separate all the cards that do not interchange between the different models of AVR 3 I have. 

Does anybody know which model of AVR 3 is the earlier one? 
The one that had the Scan PU card mounted above the TBC frame   or 
The one that has the Scan PU card mounted as part of the Audio preamps ?
