Ampex did some major priority list juggling, so they could get
VR-2000's into NBC-NY. Customers who accepted these delays got some
future firsts as a result of this action.

In this photo, you can see two of the six Ampex VR-2000's in
operation at NBC New York. The two shown here (along with two others
opposite and not in view) were the only ones equipped with line-by-
line auto-EQ, a chroma module that replaced the standard EQ module.
This circuitry, plus the addition of better DOC units and other
improvements, allowed the VTRs to produce color pictures superior to
the RCA TR70a and b models elsewhere in the tape facility:

This pair of VR-2000's were used in the production and post-
production of the soap opera "Another World", fed to 30 Rock from
NBC's Brooklyn Studios. The production would be recorded and edited
