[QuadList] Weekend Picture Puzzle for 2/26/2011

Wow-fascinating! I think I have seen this before in some RCA literature, 
but have never seen one in person. I think this is an instrumentation 
recorder version designed for military in the early 1960's?

Would be interested to see the electronics that went along with it.
