Of course there was RCA's Silverlake (?) Beta spot playback system, which was introduced but never made, and which was ultimately marketed by its manufacturer Odetics. But that was a Sony Beta system, not quad.

As we know, many products are introduced and never make it to market. One example is the VR-8000 that was a 2 inch helical machine that looked like an VR-1100 with a new transport. Literature was distributed and catalog sheets were produced.
So the question is
"What RCA Quad Machine was introduced but never was sold?
