Ted,

You need a Sprinter van. Lots of room and good mileage.

Thanks,

This may have been a practice run for NAB, where we'll be on the floor in SL9910 with a 16/35 HD Vario, in addition to other equipment.

Since that'll be my demo unit for running around the country, I'm having to re-think my transport situation. The Mountaineer isn't tall enough for the Vario, and I don't think my 5x8 cargo trailer, is, either. I'd rather have it in something more cushiony than the trailer.

Somehow an air-ride remote truck with a lift-gate keeps popping into my dreams... or a large pusher bus outfitted for demos in the front and "residential" use in the back. Either would be real fun parking in NYC, for one thing. Fuel mileage is a consideration. Moving an AVR-2 wouldn't be a problem in the remote truck.

BTW, I have some DPX files from the Vario for you to play with in Revival.

Are you out West anytime soon? Or would you like to play with a 16mmVario in Foley, Alabama sometime around Mardi Gras? (March 4-8?). We'll have some football film to tranfer... maybe some with Kenny Stabler on it from his days at Foley High.

Ted
