My apologies to the Farnsworth family. I did, in fact, confuse Mr. Armstrong’s tragic demise with Mr. Farnsworth who died naturally in 1971 in Salt Lake City. The only time Mr. Farnsworth was in NYC was to be on “I’ve got a Secret” which I watched first run and may explain why my memory is starting to get befuddled! He also lost the patent battle with RCA.

Don't forget the fight between Marconi and Tesla, and Tesla won, he invented radio.

"Financially broken and mentally beaten after years of legal tussles with RCA and others, Armstrong lashed out at his wife with a fireplace poker, striking her on the arm. Fearing for her life, Marion fled their apartment and went to stay with her sister. Alone and depressed over the FM patent disputes, Armstrong removed the air conditioner from the window, dressed in his coat and hat and jumped to his death from the thirteenth floor of his New York City apartment on January 31, 1954. His body was found the next morning by a maintenance worker. His suicide note to his wife read: "May God help you and have mercy on my soul".[15] <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edwin_Howard_Armstrong#cite_note-14> [16] <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edwin_Howard_Armstrong#cite_note-15> Upon hearing the news, David Sarnoff <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Sarnoff> remarked "I did not kill Armstrong." Armstrong's widow Marion renewed the patent fight against RCA and finally prevailed. Unlike her husband, Marion was willing to compromise.[17] <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edwin_Howard_Armstrong#cite_note-16> [ <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edwin_Howard_Armstrong#cite_note-17> 18 <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edwin_Howard_Armstrong#cite_note-17> ] <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edwin_Howard_Armstrong#cite_note-17> "

I thought it was Armstrong jumped out of the Window

Because nobody would accept FM

Or did they both

Keep the windows shut if you are an inventor

That’s why Philo jumped out the window when he lost the long running lawsuit.

	Thanks, Bob. Great stuff.

I noticed in one issue RCA blowing their own horn, something they liked to do.

Writing about the Iconoscope: "and its development made possible the first all electronic television system-developed by RCA."

Of course no mention of Farnsworth, who really did develop the first all electronic TV system.
