Shibaden was part of Hitachi. for a time.

In 1976, Hitachi introduced a Quad that had digital servo and TBC.
Auto tracking, sync processing and full electronic editing.

Anyone have pix? Or did this become something with a Shibaden label?

Abramson cites the machine and on Page 171 of the History of
Television 1941-2000, with a footnote citing the SMPTE Journal of May,
1977, page 332: "Progress Committee Report for 1976."

Anyone have pix? Or did this become something with a Shibaden label?
