Hi Ed

Re the "hangers" if this was a BBC camera I would say that they were for
attaching safety bonds to hold the lens if they were to fall.

lens??   I have  a few turrets that are set up this way.   so I suppose
these anchors  could be  to stabilize a long lens???


  lens bottom left is a sweet Zeiss wide angle... in reality you want to
remove the telephoto lens opposing it on the turret so  the large lens will
not be in the field of view.
