In 1959, AT&T did not have the capability of transmitting full bandwidth
(20KHz) audio across the country. Their audio bandwidth was limited to only
5KHz, and in fact would a separate path from the video. So the recording
had to be made at the studio in Burbank, and not New York, judging by the
high audio quality.

I just read further on another Kraft Music Hall Youtube video
provided by the same source. A comment was offered stating that
Herlihy did the commercials in New York as the program was fed from
Burbank. This is the best explanation so far as it helps to explain
the hard switching seen in the videotape when the program goes to a
Kraft commercial. It is simply a hard switch from the incoming
Burbank feed to the commercial originating in New York with Herlihy
announcing his voiceover. The tape is a recording of the New York
release studio that feeds the network, including breakups at the
beginnings and ends of the commercials. The breakups are the result
of the hard switches made going into and out of the Kraft commercials
performed in New York. They are NOT bad edits in the tape. This also
leads me to believe that the recording was made in New York, not
Burbank.
