Yes, it would.  However, with a BB head and low-band only, the results would not be optimum, but certainly good enough for viewing.  One of the issues that comes up when dealing with a museum setting is whether the machine should be shown in its original state, or should it be "enhanced" by more modern technology.  I'd be in favor of operating it as-is, so folks can have an appreciation of the state-of-the-art in 1965.
