Hi Chris:

My experience with this seller has been very positive, spanning back a number of years.  I think his son worked at the Colorado Springs plant, but in any case, when Ampex closed it down, he bought a lot of stuff on auction and has been selling it gradually for years.  You'll see these heads show up every few months.  I was fortunate to get a lot of framed, product related pictures and artwork from him that came out of the Colorado Springs offices.  Mostly "late" era products, but still kind of unique considering their "heritage".  Anyway, if you need the heads, he's probably a good source.
