[QuadList] OT: "Improv Ice" on NBC--16:9 SD uprezzed to 1080i? Hard to watch!

I can understand SD in a live situation when facilities are scarce.  

But for a show that has almost a month from recording to "deliver for QC and Legal review" it's hard to reconcile, unless they had to use an SD truck to record the skating on Thursday, Dec. 15, last year.

I can see how that might have happened if all the HD trucks suitable for the production were tied up with football commitments Thurs. 12/14-Sun., 12/17. <shrugs shoulders>

If it was originated in HD and recorded in HD, I'm really curious about what happened in between then and air.
