Apparently Terry Gilliam, of Monty Python fame has a daughter who is going through his archives and blogging about it.

If you check out the July 23rd link above, there are some pictures. You will note that in addition to some 16mm film, there are some video tape boxes. 

Looks like a Quad spot reel in the bin.

PAL is identified on one tape spline, kind of links like a U-Matic box.

Don't know if she'll be looking for help with transfers or not. Thought maybe someone on the list might want to contact her.
