[QuadList] Alvy Ray Smith: RGBA, the birth of compositing & the founding of Pixar

It was great to see Dick Shoup get the credit he deserves.
It was also great to hear a firsthand account of the idiotic suit Quantel
brought claiming they invented the paint algorithm.
I'm surprised Sunstone ended up on Quad.
I visited the famous NYIT graphics lab in the early eighties but I don't
recall seeing any quads.
