Chris is right again!  It's in Assemble Edit Record.  You can see the editor installed just below the audio chassis, and the light on the right side is illuminated which is the indicator for the assemble mode (insert is in the middle and normal is on the right).

This editor control panel lines up with the recessed position of the proc amp etc., so it's a little hard to see.  They made another version with the panel out front.  Here's a pic of one of those installed in one of my spare 1100's.  Incidently, this machine is an example of the newer version as compared to the picture that Ted found.  There are two major differences that date them accordingly.
