Typical low-grade kine. Lots of lens dirt on that piece! It may not even be a kine - it might be literally shot off a monitor in the dark. I very much doubt that this particular print ever went out on sales calls.

I'm sure you're right. Good point about the origin of the kine. I hadn't considered that. It probably wasn't done by Ampex. Any idea what might have created the dark vertical smear in the upper-right quadrant on the film?

I'm sure it originated on videotape but somewhere along the line, it was archived as a kinescope recording. Ampex may not have been involved in the kine recording. In those days, kine was very common.
