Hi Don,

You are correct again, the VR-7000 was the first (pre-A format) 1" helical scan VTR's built in Elk Grove Village, Illinois in Nov of 1965, and I started work there 11/25/1965.

This has been listed for a long time.  >From the rust, I'd say it has been wet for a while.  Maybe the spider drowned!

Even if it was in good shape, it's one of the oldest models, and newer units that show up from time to time are a much better alternative.
