I tried a roll of Ampex audio 2" on an AVR2 and it clogged the heads (and the video heads stripped the tape due to its thickness). At the BBC there was a rumour that someone used to slit 2" tape to use on his 1/4" machine. It ruined the heads due to the magnetic alignment of the tape. My advice is not to attempt it. J
