My initial thought was that it was a working camera.
There was camera movement by the "camera with actor" seen on screen cutting to that camera from the reverse shot in back of Jerry looking at the lens end of the "camera with actor."
There were several shots from"camera with actor" position, and the angle of view and depth of field didn't look like it was provided by the camera seen to the left and farther back of the "camera with actor."
That "farther and left camera" was used for an establishing shot of Jerry and the operator side of the "camera with actor," and there seemed to be some camera movement seen on screen that matched the movement of the "camera with actor."
Unless there was a "prop camera" already available, would NBC (or the production co.) have budgeted to construct such an item for one sketch?
