[QuadList] QuadQuiz--Why did RCA choose 6-mil head width for Super High Band experiments

Actually, RCA was proposing a new quad standard called "Quad II" which was incompatible with old quad. They were thinking of going as low as 6 IPS -----

Running at 7.8125 ips with a 6 mil head, as opposed to the usual 5 mil
head for that tape speed, would surely make the guard band issues worse,
on the other hand running at 15.625 ips with a narrower head would
improve the situation
