There is no problems getting heads... just cost.

Tony has an incredible assortment of original Ampex jigs and processes. I'm talking Smithsonian caliber. It would be sad if this was turned into junk

The LOC is the most reasonable Government arm to rescue all the devices needed to re-build the scanners. Perhaps there are private foundations that would be interested.
