I believe what started this thread was in the fall of last year when a used HS-100 disc showed up on eBay for $5,000. Well it finally sold today for $50.

Interesting conversation piece, but obviously "crashed" from the visible "tracks" on the disk. I have a never used one, and I doubt that it's worth $5K either! However, it cost $1,500 in 1972 and according to a government website, that equals $8,331.32 today!

Update:
The HS-100's (there are three platters and two set's of electronics plus spare heads) are back in my shop now. Will there be a fire-up party with BBQ, Margaritas and dancing go-go girls? We will see what develops on all fronts. I suppose it depends on the initial "smoke test" and blessing by a qualified know-it-all HS-100 person (there are a few out here still able to "bless" the machine). Live Skype for those in remote regions?
Keep your fingers crossed and stay tuned". Maybe by mid summer.
David
