[QuadList] TV Station Engineering Report

The head hours sure piled up on the B side of the TCR didn't they? Doing all the recording when dubbing. Should not be too hard to figure out which station--lists the HS-100 out on Baseball, that narrows it way down to a station that had both Ampex and RCA quads (not too many of those I'll wager) and a mobile unit with an HS-100.

Was NOT WGN, we had TCR's and HS-100 but no TR-70's.
KPRC had the TR-70's but no Ampex machines that I know of, so Chicago and Houston are off the list. Any other ideas?

This is the Digest of the QuadList. Celebrating four years of Quad Conversations, July 25, 2012

Please change the subject line from "Digest" and Trim your post to JUST the relevant info when replying. That prevents the entire digest from re-posting.

You can copy and paste or highlight the desired material before hitting "reply" in most e-mail clients.

That will keep the entire digest and a bunch of headers with gobblydgook from being re-sent to the list.

Your subscribe, unsubscribe and digest options are at the bottom of the digest.

Thanks.

That was the "miracle of videotape": It could be erased and re-used. Any many stations did just that.

David,

Are the numbers listed next to the individual Quads the total operating hours, total headwheel hours, or the hours on a specific headwheel that was on the machine at the time?
