Is that a window I see behind where the BVH-1000 is about to go in the second picture?
I'm surprised they're not RCA branded.
Did NBC ever have any RCA TR-800's?

No, the stereo show was recorded on 1-inch Type C. NBC had both RCA and Ampex quad VTRs, both in New York and Burbank. When 1-inch was introduced at NBC-New York in 1978, the machines were Sony BVH-1000s. The MII format was introduced around 1985 or so.
