I worked with a lot of Riker and Richmond Hill gear in the early 70's, and we built some of our own modules too for an SEG. Each Riker module consisted of a mother card with a number of daughter cards which were sort of "building blocks" that could be combined to perform various functions. I can't find any pics of the electronics, but here's a pic of the control panel we built. The switcher consisted of an RCA TS-40, an RCA solid state mix amp, and the Riker SEG. We bought the Riker controls which you can see on the right side of the panel from a surplus dealer, Derf Electronics, and then built the electronics to go with it. The joystick in the upper center controlled a positioner circuit for the wipe patterns that we added to the Riker SEG.
To keep this somewhat on topic, there were 2 quads feeding this switcher! We also had a factory Riker proc amp that I kept for years but gave away along with the manual to another list member some years ago. Then there was a Riker sync generator and companion color standard. It had hundreds of diodes in the counter circuits, and they were prone to failure. When we got a Tek generator, I think the Riker went to the scrap pile!
