Ok so this seems to be what mine is all about.

By 1938, NBC had again remodeled its antenna on the building. The
experimental station, then designated W2XBS, broadcast a picture with 441 scanning
lines. Transmission was within the range of 45 to 50 MHz. with various
picture-to-sound carrier spacings. A new NBC antenna was installed by February
of 1939 (Fig, 2), and in January 1940 the company began regular FM operation
from an antenna at the same site. (This station was W2XDG. operating on
42.6 MHz.)

now, I would assume that with drawing dates of 1938 the 1939
install date is the same antenna.

Blueprints for the 1938 RCA Empire State TV antenna discovered at SMECC
Is it unusual to have these?

They were in a file box with the Brookhaven Cyclotron Blueprints.

they have been probably folded up since '38 I need to 'relax' the paper
but in the meantime have been transferred to the banks vault in case
this is the only set
around.

This would be the antenna used for 39 worlds fair historic
rollout eh?
