Chris,
Most bases we have seen have the air passages already configured. The Stator
and Rotor need to be replaced when going to the air bearing head . The port
on the bottom of the head has to have the air filter, plate and gasket
installed along with the air activation plug. Yes the head can be used on
the 1200 or 2000 if the right preamp is installed but these heads were not
really capable of making a good color picture due to the bearings.
