I was amazed by the prices too!  Also, remember that there was an 18% buyers fee on top of the final bid amounts.

Since we do some 1” Type-A transfer work, I noticed the three machines they had listed.  All of them were older and less capable models than what we use, and yet one of them went for $3,800.  

And to keep this quad related, an NEC NTC-5000 TBC which handles quad format went for only $5.  Unfortunately, it was bundled with a bunch of monitors, so shipping the lot wasn’t practical.  Maybe someone on the list was able to pick it up.

bvu-950 was $875 I think. I was astounded by the prices. I was bidding on a super8 mag audio player and it went for $1850, too rich for me.  Another chapter in the history of Hollywood has now been closed.
