[QuadList] Capstan questions

Were both machines commanded into Record and Playback at the exact same
time?
It sounds like maybe one just recorded a few seconds longer.
If both were locked to house and both began playing back at the same time
and neither of them broke up and re-locked mid-playback,  they should
still be in sync at the end of the 30 minute program regardless of any
capstan radius difference.
I don't suppose one of them was set to drop frame and the other to non-drop?
