Here's another common reason for things to get held for review, and some suggestions on how to help avoid that.

David sent a picture to the list, and it passed.
Don tried to respond.
But, by the time David's photo, text and Don's reply were combined and fed back to the list, the total was over the threshold for getting flagged.
One way to avoid that is to delete the picture from any reply... or make the photo smaller, if your mail program allows you do to that easily.
In case it didn't post... Here's Don Norwood's reply to David Crosthwait's posting about a head that showed up with a tape one morning...
Feel free to reply to the original post, but please strip off everything above my e-mail in the sig, and change the subject to... Ampex VR-1000 head adjustment
Thanks and enjoy!

Hi David:
Actually, that is the height adjustment. Instead of the knob and shaft that you have, the “normal” head simply had an Allen head screw there. The VR-1000 manual cautions the operator to be sure the head has stopped spinning before placing the wrench into the adjustment! Essentially, via a pivot point, it raises or lowers the “bar” on which the guide rides. The spring-loaded latch for the guide holds the guide both against that bar and against the engagement arm.

Don,
You appear to be right about this extended screw adjustment. Guide height? I don't think so. I don't see any adjustment for guide height. Hence, ship the head with the tape was necessary.
This head was sitting on my desk when I came to work after being out of town for a while. I suspect this head is from a VR-1000 that was at one of the networks here. I will ask the donor if he knows.
Stay tuned!
Best Regards,
David Crosthwait
