Hi Dennis

Nope, the VR-1100 came much later and was the first solid state quad from Ampex.  The VR-1001 was a repackaged VR-1000. 

This is the 3rd attempt to post a reply, so if others come thru to the list, I apologize!  The list seems to be up to its old tricks.
