Did NBC use white lines for queuing?

Hello all:

Yes, NBC did use those lines/boxes for cueing. Up until the mid to late '80's, NBC would use that form of alerting stations when to start quad heads (flashing), and then roll (steady) for those shows that weren't pre-recorded in advance and had timings distributed. Normally, MCR received TWXs of all shows with pretty accurate timings. The exceptions were things like: Tonight, Tomorrow, Today, etc.

(Good catch!)
