[QuadList] Did NBC use some form of white lines in the vertical interval for queuing?

I remember seeing those too back then. Where I worked, we didn’t have any equipment that utilized it. Probably just a visual cue like film cue marks.

Somewhat related, does everyone remember the visible bar code that appeared in all four corners of many commercials (maybe just film ones) that were used to verify the spot ran in various markets?

The soap opera I’m dubbing has a white narrow bar in the upper right that flashes. Just like this.

Noted some white sections of the vertical interval blinking on and off at selected times in this clip of the Carson show.

Wondered if any NBC affiliate or Network alumni could identify the nature and use of this addition to the vertical interval.

I seem to recall someone had mentioned some form of queuing, I can 2Q dots on film.

Hope you all had a happy Easter and are having a wonderful day today.
